Bevore yesterday we just stuck 70km south of Watson lake and thought we will stuck in here for about one week, but a two angles where send from heaven and we hit the road again…
So what`s happen. We drove down one of the smoothest roads we ever found on our trip and just out of nothing the car was bumping and jumping. Then Philippe saw the trailer was swinging around in the backmirror and hanging strange down. So we had to stop and check out whats happening. The Wheelmounting from the Rim and Drumbrake cracked out and rip the whole wheel of so it wreck`s the whole mounting and the heavy axle and nearly the good leave springs as well. Gallus stayed back with to protect our trailer and sleeps in bear country in his small tent while we drove up 500km to whitehorse to arrange something bevore sunday.
With jerry and Fred we get everything fixed up.
Fred sponsored us a Axle and helped to weld it up while Jerry drove around with us to get some tires mounted on the new rims and running around for different things.
The People up here are awsome. We thought we will stuck in here for about one week if everything worked out properly, but the Jerry and Fred we met up here turned a nightmare into a perfect result.
Unbelivable that Fred had two heavy duty axle`s in his yard so we could made one out of two shorten it and get some rims and tires fixed up to get us on the road again. not only get us on the road again, with this axle we can round the world twice… It will last for ever and the result is just perfect, can not wait to go back and mount it on the trailer to continue…
